Today marks one year since I released two instrumental albums made for the quieter parts of the day: Waves and Chords and Rain and Rhodes.
Both projects were created as simple, spacious companions for the moments when you want a little less noise around you, while reading, writing, winding down, or simply taking a breath at the end of the day. I recently created visual companions for both albums, bringing the sound worlds to life with ocean-wave and rainfall scenes.
Waves and Chords pairs smooth guitar and keyboard melodies with the steady presence of ocean waves. It has the feeling of settling near the shore as the day begins to soften.
Rain and Rhodes moves in a different direction: warm Rhodes piano, gentle rain, and a slower pace. It is music for dim lights, open notebooks, and gentle evenings.
I hope these projects give you a small pocket of calm in your day.
Focus. Relax. Sleep. Repeat.
